Ispirandosi alle teorie contemporanee di Donna Haraway e John Berger sulle relazioni interspecie, Andro Eradze riempie le cornici delle sue opere con piante e animali pronti a superare i propri confini. La sua macchina da presa segue scene al limite dell’indefinito: un falò fumante, una foresta tempestosa di alberi mossi dal vento, un campo da calcio allagato. Accompagnati da colonne sonore ammalianti e trascendenti, i suoi film sembrano una compilation dei momenti di transizione di un lungometraggio, lasciando lo spettatore con un senso di espansiva attesa.

/ Inspired by Donna Haraway and John Berger’s contemporary theories on interspecies relations, Andro Eradze fills the frames of his works with plants and animals poised to exceed their boundaries. His camera follows scenes on the cusp of something undefined: a smoldering campfire, a stormy forest of wind-whipped trees, a flooding football pitch. Accompanied by haunting, transcendent soundtracks, his films feel like a compilation of the transitional moments of a feature film, leaving the viewer with a sense of expansive anticipation.
