EMO è il primo progetto espositivo del Tour 2020 di Sonnenstube. Ospitate dagli spazi della Schwobhaus le opere di Sara Ravelli, Gabriel Stöckli e Gianmaria Zanda verranno rilette in chiave emo con un testo scritto per l’occasione da Giada Olivotto.

La Schwobhaus, oggi atelier di artiste e artisti, è una villa a tre piani che apparteneva alla pittrice Susanne Schwob (1888-1967), la quale fu la prima donna a diventare membro della Commissione Federale per l’Arte. Dopo la sua morte, la signora Schwob decise di donare la villa alla città di Berna con la promessa che questa fosse “esclusivamente per la promozione diretta delle belle arti”.

Da ottobre del 2019 a dicembre 2020 il progetto Connected Space invita gli spazi artistici di tutta la Svizzera a generare iniziative nella città di Berna. EMO is the first exhibition project of the 2020 Sonnenstube Tour. Hosted by the spaces of the Schwobhaus, the works of Sara Ravelli, Gabriel Stöckli and Gianmaria Zanda will be reread in EMO mode with a text written for the occasion by Giada Olivotto.

The Schwobhaus, now an atelier of artists, is a villa that belonged to the painter Susanne Schwob (1888-1967), who was the first woman to become a member of the Federal Art Commission. After her death, Mrs. Schwob decided to donate the villa to the city of Bern with the promise that it was “exclusively for the direct promotion of the fine arts”.

From October 2019 to December 2020, the Connected Space project invites art spaces throughout Switzerland to generate initiatives in the city of Bern. Information about self-organised projects in connection with Connected Space, such as participants, can be found at connected-space.ch/
